Fine quality 19th century Meissen cobalt-blue ground reticulated plate finely painted with a romantic couple in a wooded scene possibly after Watteau within a central reserve. The reticulated border pierced with trellis and vine applied with forget-me-nots. The plate well decorated on a rich cobalt blue ground picked out in gold circa 1880
