Description
19th century jewelled Sèvres-style ormolu-mounted hinged casket. The cover finely painted with a romantic couple in a rural setting probably after Boucher surrounded with jewelling. The sides with enamelled jewelling, all highly decorated on a rich turquoise and gilt ground,the interior silk-lined,the hinged ormolu mounts with 4 claw-type feet circa 1870
