Description
A Victorian garnet, turquoise and gold snake bangle, with an oval and pear shape cabochon garnet set in the head, with cabochon turquoise set in groups of three at either end and on either side, in rub over settings, with cabochon-cut garnet eyes; with floral and foliate engraving on the neck, body and tail tip; gold teeth and a tongue, with two hinges, mounted in 15ct gold, circa 1900. In Victorian symbolism the coiled snake represented eternal love.
