Westerwald salt-glazed tankard with pewter lid, 18th century, decorated in blue with flowerheads on a blue star shape between flower heads against an undulating blue background, the pewter lid with a round ball thumbpiece and portrait of Martin Luther in the centre.

Dimensions:

Height of tankard without the cover: 19cm. (7 1/2in.), height with pewter cover: 24.9cm. (9 3/4in.)

Condition:

Chips to rim of tankard and crack to rim, with some slight loss of glaze to the base
