Chinese blue and white bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), of square cross-section with canted corners, decorated to the exterior with four figurative scenes in a mountainous landscape, including a robed scholar with fan standing in the moonlight, a farmer leading an oxen and a fisherman, the bowl interior with a seated figure in long robes, the interior rim with a band containing peony cartouches against a liewen ground
