Description

Chinese blue and white four-sided bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), of square cross-section with canted corners, each of the four sides decorated with a panel containing elegant ladies relaxing in a garden setting; with narrow panels to each corner with a diaper-pattern ground and large ruyi-heads rising to a lobed rim; the interior with a single blue line to the rim, the base with a Kangxi six-character mark and of the period.
