Chinese blue and white ginger jar, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated with cherry blossoms against an underglaze blue cracked ice ground.
Height: 13.3cm. (5 ¼ in)
Condition: Very minor fritting to footrim, small glaze fault
Notes:
This traditional design, with early blossoms and the thawing of winter ice, represents the coming of spring.
