Description
Chinese famille rose basket and stand, Qianlong (1736-95), of oval form with spreading perforated sides and foliate rim the interior well decorated with floral sprays within an interlinked chain the rim with a floral hatched cellular border, the exterior with moulded floral motif, with twin looped upright gilded handles; the stand similarly decorated with perforated sides, the rims gilded.
Condition: Shallow chip to exterior rim of basket
Notes: The idea for fruit baskets is derived from the Meissen factory after about 1740.
