Chinese famille-verte ginger jar and cover, Kangxi (1662-1722), of oviform body decorated with birds and insects amidst flowering peonies, magnolia and wild crab apple trees issuing from rockwork, with a cellular band to the neck, the cover similarly decorated with flowering peonies, magnolia and insects; height: 9 5 /8in. (24.5cm.), condition: cover neatly restored, tiny chip to inner rim.
