Description
Chinese famille verte lamp base, Kangxi (1662-1722), of baluster form, the body decorated in overglaze enamels with a pheasant crouching on rockwork amidst branches of peony and magnolia blossom, with insects and a pair birds in flight above, the footrim encircled by a geometric band in iron red, the rim with further geometric and narrow floral bands.
Height: 22cm. (8 5/8in.)
Condition:
The vase has been reduced with some fritting around the rim, there is a neatly sealed haircrack and wear to some enamels
