Description
An Edwardian Albert chain in 15ct rose gold, made from open curb links. Each link is gently twisted so the chain lies flat, and each carries its own small hallmark. The soft pink tone is typical of rose gold of the period, and the polished links catch the light with a warm glow. Albert chains like this were first made to be worn across a waistcoat, and this one has plenty of presence at 5mm wide.
It fastens with a large bolt ring clasp and measures 15", so it sits close at the base of the neck. Made in Chester in 1914, it has been well looked after and is a robust, wearable chain in its own right. Authenticated by us.
