Excellent Edwardian Garnet & Diamond Scent Bottle. An exceptional antique Edwardian scent bottle crafted in 15ct gold. The cylindrical body is finished with a beautifully hand-hammered surface, reflecting the refined craftsmanship and Arts & Crafts influence of the period. The hinged lid is centred with a richly coloured cushion-shaped warm cognac-toned hessonite garnet surrounded by a delicate border of sparkling brilliant cut Edwardian diamonds, creating elegant contrast against the warm gold tones. Opening the garnet spring loaded push piece to reveal its original scent compartment and internal stopper, the piece was designed as a luxurious personal scent bottle for perfume or aromatic essences. The piece measures 5.5×1.7cm and comes in its original box.
