Description
Pair of Chinese famille verte porcelain square-section vases, Kangxi (1662-1722), divided into three parts, the base section decorated with four roundels of flowers against a lieuwen background the sloping shoulders with four roundels containing precious objects, the middle section with alternating panels of objects and a rabbit in a landscape below a band of characters shou (longevity) and shuangxi (double happiness), the flared neck decorated with alternating panels of lotus and chrysanthemums, the spreading foot with lappets, height: 9 3/8 in. (24cm.), condition: one with restored chip to base, small enamel loss,minor fritting, all neatly restored.
