Description
Small Canton enamel circular dish, Qianlong (1736-95), the centre with a figure holding a staff offering a pearl to a dragon emerging from the clouds within a border of scrolling foliage, the outer border with 4 cartouches containing stylized dragons against a green diaper ground, the reverse decorated in the centre with peaches against scrolling foliage and the outer border with dianthus, chrysanthemum and peony flowerheads against scrolling foliage, fruit and seed heads, diameter: 11.7cm. (4.5/8in.); condition: restored.
