Meissen octafoil teabowl and saucer, circa 1735, decorated in the kakiemon style with birds amongst flowering prunus, bamboo and pine issuing from rockwork, the rims glazed brown, incised ‘24’ with underglaze-blue crossed-swords mark to base, diameter of saucer: 4 7/8in. (12.5cm.); condition: slight wear to enamels
